JOB TITLE: Unarmed Security Guard Services

LOCATION: Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park, 450 Auburn Avenue, NE Atlanta , GA 30312

DUTIES:

• Provide unarmed security services.

• Provide a Guard Log, to log arrival and departure times and the arrival of deliveries and services to the National Park Service.

• Assist National Park Service personnel with pedestrian traffic control, when necessary during special events or emergencies.

• Operate National Park Service issued hand-held digital two-way radio and/or telephone to relay information to appropriate personnel.

• Assist the National Park Service Chief Range or Law Enforcement Ranger and other emergency personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of security systems and surveillance equipment.
• Advanced ability to respond to security breaches and threats.
• Ability to inform personnel and visitors of security procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
