Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years in hardware and software application support for small computers and servers.
  • Ability to install and operate multimedia software on both stand-alone and networked computers. Proficient in troubleshooting software issues.
  • Current CompTIA Security+ Certification required.
  • Knowledge of Air Force computer/network security regulations (mandatory).
  • Air Force training concepts and methods (preferred).
  • Air Technology Network (ATN) equipment for satellite training sessions (preferred).
  • Must obtain a favorable National Agency Check for a position of trust.
  • Experience in training management and computer analysis.
Duties:
  • Administer hardware and software for all QOLNET servers, satellite receivers, switches, routers, printers, and peripherals at Mt Home AFB.
  • Implement new systems (software/hardware) as directed by the M&FRC Flight Chief or Team Lead, including setup for computers and networking architecture.
  • Establish data safeguarding procedures and backup methods to ensure uninterrupted M&FRC service.
  • Provide recommendations for future planning and improvements to the QOLNET system.
  • Assist in researching and purchasing information systems and components to enhance the QOLNET structure.
  • Ensure information security on all QOLNET systems.
  • Maintain an updated inventory list of all QOLNET equipment/computers.
  • Keep a continuity book/Operating Instructions on duties and procedures, reviewed monthly with the M&FRC designee.
  • Perform and track routine preventive maintenance on QOLNET-related equipment (e.g., replacing projector bulbs, cleaning filters).
