- POSITION TITLE: Catholic Parish Life Coordinator
- SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITES: This is a Catholic specific contract. Applicant shall provide island-wide,denominationally specific administrative support for the Catholic Community and
Catholic Community Pastoral Advisory Council, including denominationally specific,
professional support for the Catholic Liturgical Calendar. Services are in support of
Cannon Law, Sacramental administration, diocesan regulations, and requirements. The
Applicant shall work directly with the Catholic Priest(s) (military and/or contractor) and
the Pastoral Advisory Council providing services
- GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Schedule and conduct Weekly Meetings.
- Attend each of the Masses as the CPLC (weekly)
- Coordinate with Religious Education Coordinators and Ministry Leaders for
attendance, volunteer data, liturgical training, sacramental preparation and AF/NAF
Purchase Order tracking. - Attend all Catholic Community Sacramental events
- Attend Catholic Pastoral Councils, and RSO Community Sync Meetings.
- SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Should have a Degree in Christian Religious Education, or another ministry field from an accredited university.
- Experience in a military chapel environment (paid or volunteer) as a religious education coordinator, Christian school teacher, youth minister, Bible school teacher or related field can be substituted for formal education on a year for year basis.
- Catholic specific training/certification: A religious education/Catechetical
Certification provided by the Archdiocese for the Military Services, and experience in a military Catholic Religious Education/Youth oriented program is required for the Catholic portions of this contract.
