Job Title: Repair Technician
Location: USDA National Center for Animal Health (NCAH), 1920 Dayton Ave., Ames, IA 50010
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in electrical repair and maintenance, specifically with UPS systems, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with NCAH personnel.
Tasks:
  • Replace transformer board for UPS-6 in Building 20, Room BM43A.
  • Conduct necessary tests and recertify UPS function.
  • Implement LOTO process to control energy sources.
  • Coordinate LOTO programs with NCAH FEU personnel.
  • Provide documentation to support completed work.
