Jewish Rabbi
Position Title: Jewish Rabbi
Location: Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Beaumont, Texas
Key Responsibilities
Conduct monthly Jewish worship services at all FCC Beaumont facilities (USP, Medium, Low, and Camp).
Provide religious instruction, teachings, and guidance based on Jewish law, rituals, holidays, and traditions.
Offer pastoral counseling, spiritual support, and one-on-one assistance to inmates.
Perform SHU rounds as required to meet the needs of Jewish inmates.
Deliver lessons on Jewish history, holidays, prayers, ethics, culture, and scripture as outlined in the SOW.
Report inmate misconduct or safety concerns immediately to the Chaplain or designated staff.
Coordinate schedules, document session logs, and submit required paperwork for payment.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be knowledgeable in all essential aspects of Judaism, including: Torah reading, holidays, mitzvot, Jewish law (Halakha), prayers, Hebrew blessings, Jewish ethics, cultural traditions, and major denominations.
Experience providing religious leadership, instruction, or chaplaincy in a community, synagogue, or institutional setting.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with adult offenders in a secure environment.
Must conduct oneself professionally and in attire representative of Jewish religious practice.
