Job Title: Facility Management Escort Support
Location: Tampa, FL
Duties:
- The Candidate shall provide escort support to the staff of the Headquarters United States Special Operations Command Engineer Office.
- Meet visitors at designated building entrances at times as directed by the government’s engineering facilities branch personnel.
- Call the Security Monitor Center to de-alarm and/or re-alarm restricted spaces when required.
- Escort visitors to workspaces, rest rooms, and in transit while obtaining tools and materials.
- Observe visitors outside in the vicinity of entrances to restricted spaces.
- Communicate with visitors and government personnel as required to facilitate the accomplishment of work.
- Meet contractors at base perimeter gates or compound perimeter gates utilizing government provided vehicle.
- Assist with or complete IMT Form-15’s, which authorizes electronic devices to enter USSOCOM’s facility for visiting contractors.
- Report trespass, sabotage, espionage, theft of property, accidental or willful damage or destruction of property to USSOCOM Security Management Office,
- Candidate may be required to conduct security related functions such as opening/closing of security containers, end-of-day checks for processing and safeguarding classified information/material, and arming/de- arming USSOCOM Buildings, Secure Rooms, or SCIFs.
- Answering phones and taking reports of facility issues.
- Delivering and/or installing fluorescent light bulbs throughout the command, returning used bulbs to the designated engineering collection point.
- Coordinating visitors’ work with individual J-code facility managers.
Qualifications:
- Possess an active Top Secret-SCI clearance and base access for first shift.
- Have knowledge of DoD security processes, procedures and requirements.
- Complete USSOCOM security Computer Based Training requirements.
- Clearly demonstrate their ability to communicate in written and spoken English.
- Possess interpersonal communication skills and temperament to deal with non-compliant visiting personnel.
- Be Microsoft Office literate (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Be physically capable of frequent climbing of multiple flights of stairs, lifting objects up to 25 pounds, climbing 8-12' ladders, crouching or crawling in restrictive areas or standing for periods of four hours at a time or walking a mile at a normal pace.
- Have knowledge of regulations governing access to Federal buildings; rules covering restricted items (cameras, weapons, etc.) and conduct of visitors and employees; commonly used laws, rules, regulations, procedures, and operating methods to independently perform routine security escort duties.
