Job title: Catholic Education Coordinator

Location:  Andersen AFB in Yigo, Guam 

Duties:

• Coordinate and execute day-to-day work of the RE program within a pluralistic environment respecting all faiths.
• Organize and/or assist in Sacramental Preparation Programs in conjunction with the Catholic Chaplain and Religious Education Catechists; coordinates and transmit all sacramental records for the Archdiocese of Military Service.
• Maintain classrooms, cabinets, and storage areas containing Catholic RE supplies/equipment/literature.
• Submit requests for facility use, funds, equipment, supply and RE materials and other support according to chapel procedures as trained by chapel personnel, as required by local Chaplain Corps policy.
• coordinate and monitor all Religious Education (RE) activities/events as needed.
• Relate to committees associated with Religious Education.
• Maintain proficiency through attendance at workshops, conferences, and other training opportunities.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s or associate degree in education, humanities, or related subjects is required.
• At least three years’ experience as a teacher or coordinator in a religious education setting and a minimum of one year’s experience in administration or management.
• Minimum of two years’ experience as a Religious Education or Parish Coordinator within the past seven (7) years
• Must be in “good” standing, as defined by the Catholic Church,
• Candidate at a minimum must have strong written and communication skills and be able to efficiently plan and organize, communicate, and manage diverse program requirements. Shall demonstrate strong administrative skills, including proficiency in computer programs.
• shall display the ability to read/comprehend, write, and speak English fluently to fulfill the job requirement.

Hours of Operation:

• 20h to 25h per week.
