Job title: Protestant Youth Director

Duties:

• Assess needs for the youth program with the Chaplain Corps leadership and in consult with the Protestant Advisory Council.
• Provide and coordinate a youth program in accordance with the guidelines set
• Direct the youth ministry program, recruit volunteers, procure necessary materials and supplies, train volunteer staff as needed and supervise this year-round activity.
• Organize youth group for Jr High and Senior High students, as well as their discipleship classes; recruit volunteer teachers, substitutes, and other necessary staff; trains teachers and substitutes; and provide workshops as required.
• Provide orientation for new volunteer staff members in facilities, funding, religious education policies, and available resources.
• Provide an annual program plan as specified in local operating instructions and policy letters. Plan, program, and lead a weekly Protestant youth class,
• Organize at least 3 outreach events annually for teens not involved in the chapel program. Includes a music program as part of the chapel youth group, as resources exist.

Qualification/Education:

• A Bachelor's Degree in youth ministry, or any other ministry field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of two years involvement in a youth ministry program as a volunteer, contractor, or paid staff member.
