Job title: Nurse Practitioner (Gastroenterology)
Location: VA Central Iowa Health Care Systems, 3600 30th Street, Des Moines, IA 50310.
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00
Duties:

Provide direct patient care to individuals with gastrointestinal conditions, including but not limited to consultations, assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care.
Perform thorough physical examinations, obtain medical histories, and order appropriate diagnostic tests and procedures under the guidance of supervising physicians.
Assist in clinic settings, including outpatient GI clinics, to support physicians in delivering timely and efficient care to patients.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Gastroenterology, with demonstrated proficiency in assessing, diagnosing, and managing GI disorders.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
