Pianist

Location: Little Rock AFB, Arkansas

Position: Part-time 

Duties:

• Provide piano accompaniment for Ecumenical worship services, special/holy day services, and practice sessions.
• Ensure the performance area is ready and equipment is properly set up.
• Coordinate with the Chaplain and Music Director to determine musical requirements for all services and rehearsals. Ensure all music selections are approved in advance.
• Ensure the chapel facilities are set up for services and restored to their original condition post-service. Coordinate with volunteers for setup and cleanup as needed.
• Assist in developing an annual calendar of events and provide input on anticipated needs for music, equipment, and supplies.

Requirements:

• Ability to maintain respectful and functional relationships with chapel staff and parishioners.
• Willingness and ability to provide musical services in a pluralistic and multi-faith setting.
• Must be proficient in reading music and playing the piano. Experience in playing for a military chapel or equivalent civilian setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with various musical traditions of worship and praise, including liturgical, traditional, and contemporary styles. Ability to collaborate with other musicians.
