Position Overview

Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Leadership Development Instructor/Subcontractor to provide professional training and curriculum support for junior leaders within the Indiana Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion. The instructor will conduct virtual and in-person leadership training focused on conflict resolution, strategic thinking, motivation, tactical execution, and communication.

Schedule:

  • Conduct one 1-hour virtual leadership training session each month.

  • Conduct at least one half-day, in-person leadership training session each quarter.

  • Conduct one 2-day, in-person leadership course each quarter.

  • Additional time will be required for planning, curriculum development, interviews, assessments, and reporting.

  • Evening, weekend, and overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide structured leadership training for junior leaders within the Recruiting and Retention Battalion.

  • Conduct monthly virtual leadership training sessions.

  • Conduct quarterly half-day, in-person leadership training sessions.

  • Conduct one 2-day, in-person leadership course each quarter.

  • Develop curriculum, lesson plans, presentations, workbooks, assessments, and other instructional materials.

  • Provide all training materials in physical and digital formats.

  • Conduct interactive workshops, role-playing scenarios, case studies, mentorship sessions, and team-based exercises.

  • Conduct interviews with recruiters and junior leaders to identify leadership challenges, communication issues, and training needs.

  • Support a market analysis of Indiana’s recruiting environment and workforce trends for individuals between 18 and 35 years old.

  • Support an audit of the Battalion’s leadership structure, decision-making processes, skill gaps, and leadership pipeline.

  • Guide participants in developing and presenting a Leadership Improvement Plan.

  • Conduct pre- and post-training assessments and collect participant feedback.

  • Document attendance, participant engagement, and training outcomes.

  • Prepare quarterly reports with program results and recommendations for improvement.

  • Coordinate schedules and training activities with the prime contractor and designated Government representative.

  • Provide necessary personnel, instructional materials, tools, and equipment not furnished by the Government.

  • Maintain professional conduct and identify as contractor personnel when performing services.

  • Protect Government information and personally identifiable information.

  • Comply with applicable installation-access, security, and training requirements.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of civilian or military teaching experience is preferred.

  • Strong instructional, presentation, facilitation, written-communication, and verbal-communication skills.

  • Experience in curriculum development, training-needs assessments, and instructional design is highly desirable.

  • Experience conducting interactive virtual and classroom training.

  • Knowledge of leadership development, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, motivation, communication, and team performance.

  • Strong organizational, analytical, evaluation, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to interview personnel, analyze information, identify problems, and recommend practical solutions.

  • Ability to multitask and manage training, assessment, and reporting responsibilities.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

  • Ability to travel and attend overnight training when required.

  • Familiarity with NGR 601-1, the Army Leader Development Strategy, and AR 350-1.

  • A valid teaching license and/or prior military service as a Non-Commissioned Officer or Officer is preferred.

  • Must maintain a professional appearance.

  • Must successfully complete any required background screening and obtain applicable installation or system access.

  • Must comply with applicable Antiterrorism, OPSEC, Information Assurance, iWATCH, security, and training requirements.
