Job Overview :
The Public Engagement Training Coordinator will facilitate strategies aimed at maintaining professional and constructive interactions between staff and the public. These strategies are intended to de-escalate tense situations and promote mutual respect and understanding.
Key Responsibilities :
Training Delivery: Conduct high-quality, in-person training sessions for both permanent and temporary staff members who have public-facing roles. Each training session may accommodate up to 30 attendees.
Training Topics: Cover essential topics within the training program, including:
Active Listening: Teach participants to listen attentively to customer concerns without interruption, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
Empathize and Validate: Guide employees in acknowledging and validating customer feelings and frustrations, emphasizing the importance of their concerns.
Offer Solutions: Foster a collaborative approach to problem-solving, encouraging staff to find solutions and propose alternatives to address customer issues.
Follow Up: Stress the importance of post-resolution follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and establish positive, ongoing relationships.
