Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Nurturing Parenting Trainer and Certification Provider to conduct a comprehensive training and certification program for 25 staff members at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) located in Houston, TX. The selected candidate will be responsible for delivering a three to five-day Nurturing Parenting training program, equipping our staff with the skills and knowledge necessary to support the well-being of our veteran patients and their families.
Responsibilities:
- Training Delivery: Facilitate a structured Nurturing Parenting training program for 25 staff members, providing instruction and guidance on nurturing and effective parenting techniques.
- Curriculum Implementation: Utilize approved training materials and curricula to ensure consistency and adherence to program objectives.
- Skill Assessment: Assess and evaluate the participants' understanding and application of nurturing parenting principles.
- Certification: Administer certification assessments and provide feedback to participants as necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and participant progress.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with MEDVAMC leadership and staff to ensure the training aligns with our organization's goals and objectives.
- Logistics: Coordinate logistical aspects of the training, including scheduling, room arrangements, and necessary equipment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Demonstrated experience as a certified Nurturing Parenting Trainer.
- Expertise: In-depth knowledge of nurturing parenting principles and methodologies.
- Certification: Possession of a recognized Nurturing Parenting Trainer certification.
- Teaching Skills: Strong facilitation and instructional skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational Skills: Effective organization and time management abilities.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous record-keeping and assessment skills.
- Flexibility: Adaptability to accommodate training schedules and participant needs.
