Duties:
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily in accordance with the Armed Forces Recipe Service and Government menus.
- Collaborate with the Military Mess Hall Manager to plan meals, ensuring variety and nutritional balance.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining areas, and all food preparation equipment following each meal.
- Adhere strictly to NAVMED P5010-1 standards and other food safety guidelines.
- Manage food storage and inventory, ensuring proper stock levels and rotation.
- Modify menus based on feedback, dietary requirements, and special meal requests.
- Assist in the preparation of special meals for holiday events and other occasions as required.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in food service, preferably in a government or commercial dining facility.
- Ability to create diverse, high-quality, and nutritious meals.
- Knowledge of NAVMED P5010-1 food safety standards.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Physically capable of performing kitchen duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Must have necessary certifications and permits for food service.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday
Meal times:
- Breakfast: 06:00 – 08:30
- Lunch: 11:30 – 14:00
- Dinner: 16:30 – 19:00
