Location: Shiprock, New Mexico.
Position: Full-time

Duties:

Provide outpatient and occasional inpatient public health nutrition services.
Offer individualized medical nutrition therapy, including education on diabetes management and prevention.
Conduct group and individual diabetes education sessions and provide guidance for patients using glucose monitoring systems.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary diabetes education team, including nurses, pharmacists, vision technicians, and exercise specialists.
Contribute to wellness programs, including adolescent wellness camps.
Perform nutrition consultations and provide education for hospital inpatients, as required.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
Adhere to facility policies and HIPAA standards for patient care and record management.

Requirements:

Registered Dietitian license through the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Preferred: Certification as a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES).
Proof of immunizations (e.g., flu and SARS-COV-2 vaccinations).
