Job Overview:
The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will provide both group and individual psychotherapy services, using evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to assist high-risk offenders at the Re-entry and Sanctions Center (RSC). The role focuses on helping residents address psychological barriers, with the goal of reducing recidivism and improving emotional and psychological well-being.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree from a CSWE-accredited program in clinical social work.
- Full, unrestricted license to practice clinical social work in the District of Columbia or a U.S. state.
- Minimum of three years of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, preferably in a forensic or correctional setting.
- Strong background in conducting cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and working with high-risk populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate virtual/onsite group and individual psychotherapy sessions for high-risk offenders.
- Develop and implement evidence-based cognitive behavioral interventions.
- Conduct group therapy sessions with clearly defined goals, focusing on topics such as trauma, substance abuse, grief, and mental illness.
- Document progress notes in the RSC SMART case management system.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards during all therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with RSC staff to develop individualized treatment plans that address each resident’s specific needs.
