JOB TITLE: Occupational Health Medical Surveillance

LOCATION: Anchorage, AK 99503

DUTIES:

The Occupational Health Medical Surveillance Examination Services Specialist/Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Safeguarding the health and safety of employees exposed to occupational hazards.
  • Design and manage medical surveillance programs.
  • Conduct health assessments, and monitor employees' health status.
  • The specialist ensures compliance with regulations, communicates findings to employees, and collaborates with healthcare providers.
  • Periodic Occupational Health Exams.
  • Respirator Medical Certification.
  • Respirator Fit Testing.
  • Vision Testing.
  • Audiometric Testing.
  • Laboratory Testing.
  • Initial Medical Qualification Exams.
  • Functional Capacity Exam.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATION:

  • A bachelor’s degree in occupational health, Nursing, Medicine, or a related field is typically required. (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Previous experience in occupational health, medical surveillance, or employee health monitoring is highly beneficial.
  • Background in healthcare, workplace safety, or public health may have an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
