Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support customers in identifying employment, education, and career goals.
  • Provide counseling and resources for self-employment, small business, and entrepreneurship.
  • Offer local market information and conduct skills development workshops.
  • Conduct job fairs and establish linkages to alternate paid employment networks.
  • Manage job bank access and referrals.
  • Conduct workshops on self-marketing skills, including resume writing and interview techniques.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social science or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in employment assistance and counseling.
  • Proficiency in providing resources for self-employment, small business, and entrepreneurship.
  • Ability to offer local market information and conduct skills development workshops.
  • Knowledge of programs like DOD Military Spouse Preference Program.
