Job Overview :

The IT and Communications Specialist will be responsible for maintaining seamless communication and data transfer capabilities between the requiring office's software applications, upgraded versions, and the Human Capital Development Department. This role entails managing anti-virus software, ensuring virus-free data transmission, and facilitating real-time voice and data communication over the Internet and Local Area Network (LAN). The IT and Communications Specialist will play a vital role in supporting efficient operations and collaboration within the department.

Responsibilities:

Interface with requiring office software applications and their upgraded versions to facilitate smooth data transfer and communication.
Maintain state-of-the-art anti-virus software to ensure the security and integrity of all data transmissions.
Perform regular scans and checks to confirm that all media, files, and data are virus-free before delivery.
Ensure continuous Internet and Local Area Network (LAN) connectivity for real-time communication with the Human Capital Development Department.
Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to data transfer, communication, and connectivity.
Collaborate with IT teams to implement necessary updates, patches, and security measures to maintain optimal performance.
Provide technical support and guidance to department personnel regarding data transfer, software usage, and communication tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, network administration, and communications management.
Proficiency in configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining software applications, including their upgraded versions.
Strong understanding of anti-virus software, cybersecurity protocols, and data protection measures.
