Position Title: Custodial Lead

Job Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt
Location: Bolling JBA Commissary, 185 Chappie James Boulevard, Washington, DC 20032
Reports To: Project Manager

Position Summary:

The Custodial Lead supervises a team of custodial workers during day and night shifts to ensure compliance with PWS requirements. This role is responsible for coordinating cleaning schedules, monitoring performance, and serving as the primary point of contact with commissary management for custodial-related matters.

Qualifications: The candidate shall have:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 2 years custodial/janitorial experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Familiarity with floor care equipment and specialized cleaning chemicals.
Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and food sanitation standards.
Must pass background screening and obtain base access.

Duties and Responsibilities: The candidate must:

Assign custodial staff daily and nightly cleaning tasks per schedule.
Monitor completion of all cleaning tasks and conduct quality checks.
Train new custodial employees in safe work practices and cleaning standards.
Coordinate with Project Manager and COR on inspections, performance issues, and corrective actions.
Maintain custodial supply inventory and request replenishments as needed.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and commissary sanitation regulations.
Provide daily shift reports and incident documentation to management.
Serve as the on-shift leader, resolving minor issues and escalating major concerns.
