Job Summary
Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Catholic Religious Education Coordinator to support the Catholic faith community at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
The Coordinator will manage and support Catholic religious education programs for children, youth, and adults and will work closely with the Catholic Priest and Chapel staff.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the Catholic Religious Education program.
Manage Parish School of Religion programs from early childhood through Grade 12.
Support adult faith formation and Catholic youth programs.
Coordinate preparation for Baptism, First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, and OCIA.
Recruit, train, schedule, and support catechists and other volunteers.
Maintain student registration, attendance records, volunteer records, and program schedules.
Communicate with parents, volunteers, parishioners, and Chapel staff.
Coordinate religious education curriculum, supplies, and classroom materials.
Prepare program budget and purchase requests.
Attend Religious Education programs, staff meetings, and monthly Catholic Parish Advisory Council meetings.
Coordinate volunteer background-check and child-safety requirements.
Plan and support Catholic youth activities and special religious education events.
Qualifications
Current catechist certification from a Roman Catholic diocese.
At least 2 years of classroom experience as a catechist in a Catholic parish religious education program.
Master's degree in education, teaching, theology, religious education, pastoral ministry, or a related field preferred. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Working knowledge of Roman Catholic doctrine, sacramental preparation, and Catholic religious education.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively with clergy, parents, children, youth, volunteers, and Chapel staff.
Basic computer, scheduling, recordkeeping, and budgeting skills.
Must meet installation access, background investigation, and child-safety requirements.
Schedule
The position requires approximately 25 hours per week, including:
At least 15 office hours per week during normal Chapel hours, Monday-Friday.
Sunday Religious Education programs.
Weekday or evening programs as required.
Meetings, volunteer training, registration, sacramental preparation, and special events.
