Evaluate and manage a variety of medical conditions.
Perform emergency procedures such as local anesthesia, laceration repair, and intubation.
Stabilize patients and coordinate transfers for higher-level care.
Be present on time for scheduled shifts.
Review and confirm inpatient admissions.
Provide consultations and referrals.
Initiate social work referrals for homeless veterans and patients without primary care providers.
Provide discharge education and follow-up instructions.

Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Emergency Medicine through ABEM, ACEP, or AOBEM .
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association or equivalency .
Compliance with all HIPAA regulations .
Registration with the National Provider Identifier (NPI) system .
Proof of current DEA certification .
Adequate training and competence to perform assigned duties .
