Job Title: Emergency call agent.

Location: Fort Drum.

Schedule: Full-Time job.

Qualifications & Education:

  •  The Emergency call agent should have the Ability to handle the phone system in order to answer calls quickly.
  • The Emergency call agent should have Strong communication skills.
  • The Emergency call agent should the Ability to maintain composure during stressful situations.
  • The Emergency call agent should have an Advanced medical knowledge to help callers handle emergency situations while the ambulance is in transit.
  • The Emergency call agent should have the Ability to read maps and knowledge of local geography.
  • The Emergency call agent should have Experience in the health sector either paid or voluntary.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • The Emergency call Agent should answer at least 75% of all phone calls within four rings.
  • The Emergency Call Agent should answer the phone with "Public Works Emergency Service Line", give their name, and identify themselves.
  • The Emergency call agent should maintain a log of all calls received to include the time the call was taken, noting if the call was forwarded, and to whom it was forwarded.
  • The Emergency call agent should record the following information for each call:
    1. Time the call was received.
    2. Time the call was reported to DPW.
    3.  First and last name of the caller.
    4. Phone number of the caller including area code.
    5.  Full email address of the caller.
    6. Location of issue (including building and room number if applicable).
    7.  Reported issue.
    8.  Length of time the issue has existed.
    9. Remarks or comments (as needed).
