Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical First Responder (MFR) Instructor to deliver a comprehensive MFR training program for the Hart Dole Inouye Federal Center (HDIFC). This role will play a crucial part in equipping participants with the skills and knowledge required to obtain the State of Michigan Medical First Responder certification. The MFR Instructor will contribute to building a robust Medical Response Team capable of responding effectively to emergencies within the HDIFC, ensuring the safety and well-being of employees in various scenarios.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct the EMT 110 Medical First Responder Training course, encompassing a total of twelve weeks, with one session per week.
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions that cover essential topics including CPR, AED usage, bleeding control, airway management, splinting, extrications, and handling medical emergencies.
- Ensure that the curriculum aligns with the State of Michigan licensure requirements and prepares participants for the State of Michigan Medical First Responder certification.
- Utilize effective teaching methods to deliver engaging and informative training sessions.
- Facilitate discussions, practical exercises, and simulations that enhance participants' understanding of the topics and objectives.
- Adjust training methods to accommodate the unique learning needs of participants.
Qualifications:
- Accreditation through a post-secondary institution as an EMS instructor/coordinator licensed by the State of Michigan.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in EMS training, both in the field and office settings.
- Formal instructor or facilitator training, showcasing the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Strong knowledge of MFR training curriculum and the State of Michigan Medical First Responder certification requirements.
