Job Title:   Therapeutic Clinical Therapist

Location: The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School, Eagle Butte, South Dakota

Duties:

  • Provide ongoing therapy to special education students currently in treatment as identified by their Individual Education Plan (IEP).
  • Provide suicide risk assessments as designated by School Supervisor and/or Principals.
  • Assist with behavioral evaluations of at-risk students.
  • To provide 4-5 days of service per week to Cheyenne-Eagle Butte School and 1 Optional day if needed.
  • Consultation with the schools problem-solving teams as requested by Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor/Principals.
  • Provide prompt completion and delivery of services and or evaluations.
  • Provide crisis intervention when requested at all levels with each school.
  • Consult with Administration and school personnel on student issues/concerns.
  • Provide on-site training to school staff and/or parents on topics related to area of expertise upon request from Special Education Coordinator/School Supervisor.
  • Willing to attend and participate in trainings and workshops requested by Special
  • Education Coordinator/School Supervisor, pending schedule and availability.
  • Provide one-to-one therapy sessions to students.
  • Draft/implement a daily schedule; provide copy to School Supervisor/Principals/ Special Education Coordinator.
  • Make leave requests to the School Supervisor and notify Special Education Coordinator/Building Principals.

Education & Qualifications:

  • have the necessary state licensure as required as a certified counselor and/or clinical therapist from the State of South Dakota.
  • The required licensure should have a minimum of (1) year of experience.
