Job Title: Patient Liaison (Geilenkirchen NATO Air Base)

Responsibilities:

  1. Patient Advocacy:

    • Serve as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring patients' needs, concerns, and preferences are effectively communicated and addressed.
  2. Cultural Sensitivity:

    • Demonstrate a deep understanding of cultural nuances to facilitate effective communication between patients and healthcare professionals, fostering a comfortable and inclusive environment.
  3. Appointment Coordination:

    • Assist patients in scheduling appointments, coordinating transportation, and navigating the healthcare system, ensuring timely access to medical services.
  4. Information Conveyance:

    • Clearly communicate medical information, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions to patients, helping them comprehend and actively participate in their healthcare journey.
  5. Conflict Resolution:

    • Address and resolve patient concerns or issues promptly, working collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure a positive patient experience.
  6. Patient Education:

    • Provide information to patients about available healthcare services, preventive care, and resources, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
  7. Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate and confidential records of patient interactions, ensuring compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
  8. Collaboration with Healthcare Teams:

    • Collaborate with medical professionals, administrative staff, and other healthcare team members to facilitate cohesive and patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in English and German. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a patient liaison or customer service role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity to effectively engage with a diverse patient population.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems and processes.
