Job Title: Leadership Development Instructor/Facilitator

Job Summary:
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) is seeking a qualified contractor to fulfill the role of Leadership Development Instructor/Facilitator. This individual will play a vital role in delivering and facilitating leadership training courses as part of the Strategic Leadership Succession Program, designed to strengthen the leadership skills and knowledge of civilian employees within NSWCDD.
Key Responsibilities:
Course Delivery: Develop and deliver up to three unique leadership courses over the fiscal year, including "Introduction to Leadership," "Leading Teams and Groups," and "Leading People." Each course should be designed to be a minimum of 5 days and no more than 8 days in length, with multiple modules for each course.
Curriculum Development: Work closely with NSWCDD to design, update, and enhance course content to meet the organization's leadership development goals. Ensure that the courses can be taken individually or as part of a continuum of learning.
Instruction and Facilitation: Effectively instruct and facilitate learning experiences, encouraging on-the-job application of knowledge and skills between course modules. Create an engaging and interactive learning environment.
Targeted Audience: Tailor each course to different levels of the organization, providing a developmental opportunity for employees at all leadership levels to prepare for future career advancement.
Evaluation and Feedback: Conduct post-training evaluations at the end of each course delivery and provide feedback to NSWCDD. Use feedback to continually improve the quality and effectiveness of the training programs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leadership development training and facilitation.
- Knowledge of 5 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 412 and federal workforce development regulations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to design and adapt training content to meet specific organizational needs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements accordingly.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, organizational development).
- Previous experience in delivering leadership training and development programs, preferably in a government or military context.
- Certification in leadership development or related areas is a plus.
