Job Title: General Christian Spiritual Guide
Location: Hopewell, VA 23860

Duties:

⦁   The applicant will provide religious instruction based on their own expertise as it relates to the coordination of Transition Issues components of LCP.
⦁   The applicant will work closely with the Chaplain Program Manager and other program staff to assist in the development of the program and to gauge the progress of individual participants.
⦁   Consultations will be held with Life Connections Chaplain Program Manager as needed and will be based on the pro-social content of various religious groups.
⦁   The Applicant may work with participants who follow faiths, such as but not limited to, Buddhism, Hinduism, Wicca, Unitarian, Jehovah's Witness, Rastafarian, Asatru as well as those with no specific faith affiliation.
⦁   The Applicant will be required to attend one planning meeting each year related to the development of the program.
⦁   The Applicant shall attend team meetings, departmental meetings, and other meetings.

Education & Qualifications:

⦁   The applicant should have experience instructing in a correctional setting.
⦁   The applicant should have a minimum of five years of documented experience either as a clergy person within the faith community or instructing in a correctional setting. also should possess at least three years in the other area.
⦁   Should possess, at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
⦁   Graduate Education such as a Master of Divinity (or equivalent) is preferred, but lack of such degree will not be a disqualifying factor.
⦁   Should have documented experience teaching spiritual principles to followers of diverse religions, teaching within a reentry program.
