Duties:
- Deliver a 20-week EMT-Paramedic (EMT-P) certification course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Oversee the preparation and testing process for National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic (NREMT-P) certification, including psychomotor and computer-based exams.
- Facilitate clinical and field rotations, including scheduling, maintaining agreements with hospitals and EMS agencies, and ensuring students meet Advanced Life Support (ALS) requirements.
- Provide remediation plans for students requiring additional support to pass certification exams.
- Manage program logistics, including the provision of uniforms, course materials, medical equipment, and vehicles for practical training exercises.
- Maintain accreditation requirements and ensure the program adheres to federal and state EMS education standards.
- Conduct regular evaluations and submit detailed reports on student progress and program performance.
- Manage a six-day training schedule, incorporating up to 600 hours of clinical rotations and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and International Trauma Life Support (ITLS) certifications.
Requirements:
- Certified as a Paramedic (NREMT or state equivalent) with additional qualifications in ACLS, PALS, ITLS, and related certifications.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing or teaching EMS education programs, preferably with military or government contracts.
- Familiarity with accreditation standards, including CoAEMSP requirements and EMS regulatory compliance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with experience in managing clinical and field rotations.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) and managing educational resources.
- Ability to liaise effectively with military liaisons, contractors, and external partners.
