Job Title: Sign Language Interpreter

Qualifications:

U.S. citizenship, by birth or naturalization.
Certification in ASL/English and other relevant sign languages.
Minimum of three years of professional experience as a sign language interpreter.
Proficiency in closed captioning and voice-over software.
Ability to interpret simultaneous, consecutive, and escort interpretation services.
Familiarity with Section 508 compliance and related accessibility standards.

Duties:

Provide on-site, remote (Zoom/TEAMS), or hybrid sign language interpretation services, including real-time interpretation for meetings, conferences, and other events.
Offer closed captioning, voice-overs, textbook or audio script translation, and online document translation with typesetting services.
Provide Section 508 compliant language services, including telephone services (TDD and TTY), tactile interpreting, and cued English transliteration.
Transcribe braille documents and offer captioning services for various media formats.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism in all interpreted communications.
Collaborate with team members and clients to ensure the delivery of high-quality services within the required deadlines.
