Job Summary

The Supplemental Nurse (RN or LPN) provides clinical and operational support to the DOI Wellness Center on an as-needed basis. This role ensures continuity of care during Nurse Manager absences, supports wellness programs, and assists with clinical services and special events.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care, including first aid, basic treatment, and health screenings
Assist with triage and emergency response under established protocols
Support wellness programs (vaccinations, health fairs, screenings, education)
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA and DOI policies
Assist with clinic operations, including supply management and equipment checks
Support AED program activities (inspections, readiness checks, training support)
Provide coverage during:
- Nurse Manager leave
- Meetings or training
- After-hours and special events
Coordinate with the Nurse Manager and OSHE staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Required Qualifications (RN)

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program
Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum 4 years of clinical experience (ambulatory care preferred)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to meet federal security and credentialing requirements

Required Qualifications (LPN)

Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program
Active, unrestricted LPN license
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Ability to meet federal security and credentialing requirements

Work Schedule

As-needed / on-call basis
Primarily weekdays during clinic hours
Occasional evenings, weekends, and special events
