Catholic Religious Education (RE) Coordinator
Location
Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage Catholic religious education programs from preschool through adult faith formation
Recruit, train, and support volunteer teachers and staff
Coordinate program registration, scheduling, and classroom readiness
Develop and manage program materials and assist with annual budgeting
Support sacramental preparation (First Communion, Confirmation, RCIA)
Maintain records, attendance, and required background checks for volunteers
Prepare publicity and digital outreach for parish education programs
Submit required reports, schedules, and monthly activity summaries
Maintain RE office and storage areas in a clean and organized manner
Required Qualifications
At least one year of teaching experience in a Catholic educational setting
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work professionally with clergy, staff, volunteers, and families
Comfortable working in a military and multi-faith environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic social media tools
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Work Schedule
Minimum of 18 hours per week
Some evening and weekend hours required
