Job Summary
Ladgov Corporation is seeking a Protestant Director of Religious Education (PDRE) to support the Protestant Religious Education Program at Naval Air Station Sigonella.
The selected candidate will coordinate religious education programs for children and youth, manage volunteers, support Sunday School and youth activities, and work closely with the Protestant Chaplain.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the Protestant Religious Education Program.
Manage Sunday School for Pre-K through 6th grade.
Coordinate Children’s Church and youth programs.
Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers.
Assist with Vacation Bible School and special events.
Maintain attendance records and program schedules.
Communicate with parents, volunteers, and chapel staff.
Maintain religious education materials and supplies.
Attend weekly meetings with chapel staff.
Submit required monthly reports.
Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to live in Italy and work for U.S. Forces in Italy.
Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
Must have basic computer skills.
Bachelor’s degree or at least 4 years of experience working with religious programs.
Experience working with children, youth, volunteers, or religious education programs.
Knowledge of Christian Scripture and Christian education.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Must successfully complete required background checks.
Schedule
This is a part-time position averaging approximately 12 hours per week / 624 hours per year. Work hours will be coordinated with the Protestant Chaplain and may include Sundays and special religious events.
Work Location
The position will primarily support programs at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily, Italy, including NAS I Chapel, NAS II Chapel, and the Marinai Housing Complex.
