We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team and serve as a subject matter expert in the evaluation and management of psychological health, performance enhancement, and injury prevention for active-duty Airmen within the 52nd Fighter Wing.
Job Summary: As a Clinical Psychologist specializing in Military Human Performance Optimization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the psychological readiness of the 52nd Fighter Wing's active-duty Airmen. Your expertise will contribute to evaluating, preventing, and addressing psychological challenges that impact performance and well-being. Collaborating with unit leadership and medical staff, you will lead efforts to optimize mental resilience and readiness through comprehensive strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish yourself as a subject matter expert in the evaluation and management of psychological health, performance enhancement, and injury prevention.
- Support the attainment and sustainment of peak mental performance by evaluating, preventing, and addressing psychological challenges among active-duty Airmen.
- Collaborate with unit leadership and medical staff to develop and implement holistic strategies for mental health optimization.
- Provide evidence-based psychological assessments, evaluations, and interventions tailored to the unique needs of military personnel.
- Design and deliver mental resilience programs, stress management strategies, and psychological well-being initiatives.
- Offer individual and group counseling to address psychological concerns and enhance Airmen's coping skills and mental readiness.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to Airmen's mental and emotional well-being.
- Educate Airmen on stress management, resilience-building, and mental health through workshops, training sessions, and resources.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of evaluations, treatments, and outcomes in compliance with ethical standards.
- Adhere to program parameters outlined for mental health and psychological support within the Integrated Operational Support program.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a valid state license to practice.
- Experience in clinical psychology, mental health optimization, and psychological resilience.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices for mental health evaluation, intervention, and well-being enhancement.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with military leadership, medical professionals, and Airmen.
- Proficiency in providing individual and group counseling to address a range of psychological concerns.
- Strong presentation and communication skills for delivering educational programs and workshops.
- Ability to adapt strategies to diverse individual needs and circumstances.
- Understanding of military culture, operations, and readiness requirements is a plus.
