Group Exercise Instructor
Location: Spangdahlem Air Base – Fitness Center (Bldg. 580), Germany
Key Responsibilities:
Lead group exercise classes (aerobics or indoor cycling) according to the weekly schedule of 5–15 classes, Monday through Saturday.
Deliver safe and effective fitness programming including cardio, strength, flexibility, HI/LO impact, group cycling, kickboxing, circuit training, abs, and group strength sessions.
Arrive 15 minutes before each class and 30 minutes before special events.
Ensure all participants meet age requirements (16+ unless 13–15 with qualified adult supervision).
Maintain a professional, athletic appearance and follow all Fitness Center attire guidelines.
Prepare the fitness area before class: remove hazards, check equipment, turn on/off lights, fans, and electronics.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must hold a primary certification from an accredited health/fitness organization or a Service HQ–approved fitness certification for the class type being instructed (aerobics or indoor cycling).
Must maintain current First Aid and CPR/AED certification (American Heart Association Basic Lifesaving or equivalent).
Certifications must remain active; expired certifications disqualify instructors from teaching.
