Duties:

  • Prepare and cook meals during training sessions, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, following set recipes and nutritional guidelines.
  • Set up and maintain food preparation and cooking stations, ensuring food is prepared on schedule and served at the correct temperature.
  • Assist in menu planning and meal adjustments based on attendee requirements.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and keep the kitchen and equipment sanitized.
  • Maintain accurate food inventory, properly store items, and track supplies needed for meal preparation.
  • Manage portion control and adhere to food handling procedures to prevent contamination.
  • Clean and store all kitchen equipment and utensils after each meal.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Cook in a military, government, or commercial dining facility.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and the ability to handle bulk food preparation.
  • Ability to prepare meals for large groups and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Must have a valid Food Handler’s Certificate (State of Louisiana or equivalent).
