Type of job: Full-time position

Schedule: The employee should be available for inpatient/outpatient visits between the hours of 0730 and 1630 Monday through Friday Base closures shall not affect the routine office hours of the hospitals.

Duties:

• The Patient Liaison shall provide support to, and serve as the link for communication between, the patient, the MTF, and host nation facilities and other services in the local German health care system for inpatient stays and outpatient referral appointments.
• The Patient Liaison shall visit patients hospitalized in host nation facilities within a 45-mile radius of Spangdahlem AB including but not limited to Marienhausklinik (Bitburg), Verbundkrankenhaus (Wittlich), Krankenhaus der Barmherigen Brueder (Trier), and Klinikum Mutterhaus der Borromaerrinnen (Trier)
• The Patient Liaison will provide service at the MTF and travel to all host nation facilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

• The employee shall read, understand, speak, and write both German and English
• Shall have a background in areas such as nursing and/or medical administration.
• Shall have excellent listening and communication skills to deal with complex and sensitive situations.
• The Patient Liaison shall hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
